The Leadership Mirror
Monday, January 4, 2010 at 2:09PM Leaders need to be self-reflective because of their ability to impact the organization. They must maintain their focus on those things that make the difference between success and failure. I have developed a tool called the Leadership Mirror that I use to help leaders maintain focus. It consists of 15 questions that a leader answers on a regular basis. The first five questions include:
- How do I develop a vision or strategy for my team that is linked to business success?
- How do I capture my vision and translate it into a tangible sense of direction that people can get behind and support?
- How will I keep the vision and strategy alive and fresh?
- How will I build and maintain an organization that generates great results?
- How will I know if there are issues or problems with alignment within my team?
